This research direction began in 1982, under the guidance of the late Professor Wang Laisheng, the first research on realistic graphics processing technology was carried out in China. In this paper, a fast algorithm of generating realistic graphics by using triangle face element method and the algorithm of generating plane contour and solid contour are proposed, which is one of the earliest units in China to carry out this research work. 

In the field of human-computer interaction, in recent years, the research direction has been in the fields of computer animation, CAD application technology, 3D modeling technology, commercial design CAD, collaborative CAD technology, GIS application technology, visual spatial database, spatial feature data model, multi-source heterogeneous data sharing, visual voice emotional computing, self-organized network computing, etc., and has successively obtained the National 863 program, National 863 program, and national 863 program Many research topics, such as NSFC, Jiangsu Science and technology support and major science and technology cooperation projects of enterprises and institutions, have made great progress and obtained distinctive innovation achievements, which have produced better economic and social benefits. 

In the field of distributed computing, in recent years, a lot of research has been done in wireless sensor networks, protocol security and survivability. Nearly 60 papers have been published, and more than 50 SCI, EI and ISTP retrieval papers have been published. It has applied for 6 patents, authorized 3 projects, published many monographs and teaching materials, and obtained support from National Natural Science Foundation and Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation, etc., and its sensor network survivable technology research has won the second prize of provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress.
