On the morning of April 18, 2024, a demonstration open class on "Operating Systems" was held in Classroom 402 of Sanshan Building, organized by the School of Computer Science and Communication Engineering. This open class was targeted at undergraduate students of the 2022 intake majoring in Information Security and was taught by Associate Professor Cai Tao, who is also the project leader for the ideological and political education demonstration course at the university. Young teachers from the school participated in the observation of the teaching process.

Professor Cai began by reviewing the main content of the previous lesson: the basic principles and shortcomings of partitioned storage management. He guided students to analyze the causes and find solutions to the problems, thereby introducing the key content of this lesson—paged storage management. Throughout the class, the course structure was tight and detailed, with prominent key points and clear logical thinking. The classroom atmosphere was lively, and the teaching effect was satisfactory. The observing teachers took careful notes during the class. After the class, Professor Cai engaged in lively exchanges and discussions with the young teachers regarding the overall structure of the teaching, the design of the teaching process, the analysis of students' learning situation, teacher-student interaction, and teaching evaluation.
