On October 19th, Professor Tian Zhihong, Dean of the School of Cyberspace Security at Guangzhou University, was invited by our institution to give an academic presentation. The report will be conducted both online and offline. The presentation will be hosted by Vice Dean Chen Jinfu of the School of Computer Science, and more than 100 teachers and students from related fields participated in the presentation.

The theme of Professor Tian's lecture is "Industrial Control System Security Testing and Attack and Defense Verification Platform". Professor Tian mainly explains the background of industrial control system security, industrial control range testing and attack and defense verification platform, and network security talent cultivation in combination with the range in this lecture. Firstly, Professor Tian used the example of the Russo Ukrainian conflict to introduce its background, demonstrating that cybersecurity threats have permeated from virtual time to the real physical world. Next, Professor Tian introduced their own industrial control target range testing and defense platform, which was used to reproduce scenarios such as electricity, metallurgy, and petrochemicals, and related research was conducted on its safety. Finally, Professor Tian proposed some suggestions for the cultivation of cybersecurity talents, such as combining shooting ranges and developing corresponding courses to cultivate cybersecurity talents.

Professor Tian Zhihong's vivid and detailed lecture has greatly inspired the teachers and students of our institute, inspiring their curiosity about network security. After the lecture, Professor Tian had a detailed exchange with the teachers and students of our college, and patiently answered various questions raised.
