From July 14 to 15, 2024, the School of Computer Science and Communication Engineering held the 2024 Summer Camp for Excellent College Students in a hybrid format, combining both online and offline participation.

Since the announcement of the summer camp on July 5, it has attracted widespread attention from students. Over 160 students registered for the event, with more than 30 attending offline at Jiangsu University. Participants included outstanding college students from over 40 universities, such as Jiangsu University, China University of Petroleum (East China), Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Shanghai International Studies University, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Jiangxi Normal University, Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shandong Agricultural University, Qinghai University, Ningbo University, Shanxi University, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hebei Agricultural University, Shanxi Agricultural University, and Anhui University of Science and Technology.

The summer camp received strong support from the school's leadership, academic direction leaders, and professors. The activities included discipline introductions, interpretations of graduate admission policies, expert lectures, face-to-face interactions with campers, and professional visits. Professor Chen Jinfu, the vice dean of the school, presided over the event.

The event began with a presentation by Professor Mao Qirong, the dean of the school, who introduced the development history of Jiangsu University, the school's discipline construction and development, discipline-specific research directions, research achievements, and the graduate admission policies for 2025.

Subsequently, Professor Mao Qirong, Professor Chen Jinfu, Professor Han Fei (also vice deans of the school), Professor Wang Changda (the leader of the computer science discipline), Professor Zhu Yi (a key member of the computer science discipline), and Professor Bao Xu (the leader of the information and communication engineering discipline) delivered fascinating academic reports on their respective disciplines. They shared the latest research content and achievements in their fields, providing valuable insights for the campers in choosing their research directions.
