3rd China Graduate Student Network Security Innovation Competition successfully held

On September 18, 2024, the review meeting for the "3rd China Graduate Student Network Security Innovation Competition," hosted by the Graduate School of Jiangsu University and organized by the School of Computer Science and Communication Engineering, was held in Room 208 of the Computer Science Building, marking the successful conclusion of the competition.

This year's Network Security Innovation Competition was based on the concept of "Gathering Professional Talents to Jointly Build Network Security," guided by national strategic needs. It aimed to address the "bottleneck" issues in the field of national cyberspace security and cultivate, select, and reserve a batch of urgently needed high-level cybersecurity talents for the country. With the guidance and support of the Graduate School, registration for the intramural qualifying competition officially opened in early July, and was widely promoted through the Graduate School's website, the Computer Science School's website, and its official account. By the end of August, registration information had been received from more than ten teams for the creative project competition and the real-network confrontation competition. After initial screening, 13 project teams were ultimately selected to participate in the intramural final review, and 3 teams competed in the intramural real-network confrontation competition.

The intramural final review meeting invited Professor Lu Jianfeng, a specially-appointed professor of Hubei Province's "Chutian Scholar" program and a faculty member of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, to serve as the leader of the review expert group. Vice Dean Chen Jinfu of the School of Computer Science and Communication Engineering, Associate Professor Song Xiangmei, Dean of the Department of Cyberspace Security, Associate Professor Li Zhiyuan, and Associate Professor Pan Senshan from the Department of Cyberspace Security also participated in the review.

The 13 teams participating in the project competition presented their works in the order of drawing lots, going through PPT presentations, demonstrations, expert Q&A sessions, source code inspections, and testing. After expert scoring, two Special Awards, four First Prizes, and seven Second Prizes were ultimately selected.

The teams participating in the real-network confrontation competition competed on the UJSCTF online platform. Those who successfully completed the competition within the specified time were evaluated based on real-time results, with one Special Award, one First Prize, and one Second Prize awarded.
