Recently, according to the latest data of March 2022 released by the basic scientific indicators database of the American ESI (Essential Science Indicators), our computer science discipline entered the top 1% of the global universities and research institutions of ESI for the first time, demonstrating the academic level and strength of our computer science discipline in the global scientific research field, which is also the tenth discipline in the top 1% of the global ESI of our school, achieving a new breakthrough in the construction of our ESI discipline, It is of great significance to the discipline construction, scientific research and talent cultivation of our college.

At present, ESI has become one of the important evaluation index tools widely used in the world to evaluate the international academic level and influence of universities, academic institutions and countries/regions. The number and quality of ESI disciplines is one of the important reference indicators for national high-level university construction, discipline evaluation, international university ranking, etc.

The entry of our computer science discipline into the top 1% of the global ESI rankings is the result of the Party Committee and the administrative team of our college paying great attention to the discipline construction over the years, especially the concerted efforts of generations of computer people to continue to struggle and climb the peak. At the same time, it is also an important achievement of our hospital in the new journey of the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan".
