In order to welcome the "5th All English Teaching Contest of Jiangsu University", our college held the 5th All English Teaching Contest in the computer building 109 on the afternoon of October 27. Six teachers recommended by each department participated in the contest. The judges of this competition were Professor Zhan Yongzhao, Professor Mao Qirong, Professor Chen Jinfu, Professor Cheng Keyang and Associate Professor Zheng Wenyi. Teachers from all departments of the college actively participated in the competition and the competition was a complete success.
All participating teachers have carefully prepared, with clear teaching objectives, clear teaching ideas, reasonable teaching process design, accurate and refined language expression, and unique and novel teaching methods. The participating teachers' fluent explanations, beautiful blackboard writing, dignified, generous and free bearing demonstrated strong teaching skills and teachers' demeanor. The teaching competition was successfully held, which promoted the communication and learning among teachers.
The judges evaluated the classroom teaching of the participating teachers based on the principle of objectivity and impartiality and a serious attitude. Finally, two first prizes (Wu Xiulin and Wang Liangjun), two second prizes (Liu Jinping and Xia Jing) and two third prizes (Liu Huan and Shi Leilei) were awarded. According to the requirements and regulations of the school documents, the two teachers will finally be recommended to participate in the final of the 5th All English Teaching Competition of Jiangsu University.
At last, Professor Zhan Yongzhao made a detailed comment on the competition and gave guidance to the participating teachers on their teaching design, teaching methods and on-site performance. They also put forward valuable opinions and suggestions to the teachers participating in the competition and observing the teachers. This all English teaching competition is a demonstration of our all English teaching level, and also provides a platform for our teachers to learn and communicate and jointly improve their teaching level.
