Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued the "Notice on Announcement of the List of National and Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Professional Construction Sites in 2020" (Jiao Gao Hall Letter [2021] No. 7), and our college's information security major was selected as a national-level first-class undergraduate major Construction point. So far, our college has two national-level first-class undergraduate professional construction sites in computer science and technology and information security.

The Ministry of Education’s "Double Ten Thousand Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors was launched in April 2019. It is planned to build 10,000 national-level first-class undergraduate majors and 10,000 provincial-level first-rate undergraduate majors from 2019 to 2021. It aims at the construction of medical science, new agricultural science, and new liberal arts, strengthening first-class undergraduates, building first-class majors, cultivating first-class talents, comprehensively revitalizing undergraduate education, improving talent training capabilities of colleges and universities, and realizing the connotative development of higher education.

The information security major of our college was established in 2003, obtained the provincial key construction major in 2012, and passed the engineering education professional certification in 2018. This time, it was approved as a national-level first-class undergraduate major construction point, which has realized the continuous and steady development of professional construction. This major focuses on the national industrialization, informatization and intelligent integration security development needs. It also closely follows the practical, intersecting and comprehensive new engineering construction requirements. It is based in Jiangsu, radiates across the country, faces the information security industry, and serves industrial informatization. A large number of high-level engineers with high comprehensive quality and strong innovation capabilities are cultivated in the field of information security.

The college will take this opportunity to utilize the leading role of the two first-class to further improve the construction plan, optimize the layout of the majors, strengthen the professional characteristics, as well as improving the talent training ability, and promoting the high-quality construction of the college's undergraduate teaching.
