On March 28th, President Yan Xiaohong led a delegation of 4 leaders of our college to visit Prof. Sun Jiaguang, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. In 2001, Prof. Sun was appointed as adjunct professor of Jiangsu University and dean of The Institute of Computer Application, which strongly supported the discipline construction and development of our institute. Later, he resigned from his part-time position as a member of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
President Yan xiaohong first expressed his heartfelt thanks to Academician Sun Jiaguang for his long-term care and support for the development of JSU. Then he introduced to Sun the determination and confidence of our school to actively implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping in recent years, carry out the "095 Project", promote agricultural mechanization and intelligence, and write articles on the motherland. President Yan xiaohong pointed out that 20 years ago, academician Sun jiaguang guided the computer discipline to obtain a doctoral program during his part-time work in Jiangsu University, and the Sun Jiaguang Scholarship established has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents. For example, Vice President MAO Qirong, as the winner of the second Sun Jiaguang Scholarship, is now in charge of national key projects. President Yan sincerely asked Academician Sun to renew his previous experience and support jiangsu University to establish a dedicated research team and research platform with a forward-looking vision and broad vision to guide and support jiangsu University's research on modern agricultural information technology and intelligent agriculture.

Prof. Sun jiaguang served as deputy Director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Director of Tsinghua National Laboratory of Information Science and Technology, Dean of School of Information and School of Software, Tsinghua University, deputy to the 12th National People's Congress, and member of the Committee of Education, Science, Culture and Health. Currently he is a professor at the School of Software, Tsinghua University, director of the National Engineering Technology Research Center for Enterprise Informatization Application Support Software, director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Software, Responsible for the development of the 2D CAD systems with independent intellectual property rights in our country, the 3 d product modeling core platform, the whole life cycle of product data management system and the integration of enterprise information system (EIS), and other large software, in order to promote our country manufacturing informationization, industrialization and informatization depth fusion, made great contributions to improving the capacity of China's software industry.
