Recently, by the Ministry of Education of Higher Education network space security professional teaching Steering Committee sponsored by Shandong University, undertaken by the "fourteenth National College students information security competition (competition)" final curtain. The competition received a total of 716 teams from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fudan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beihang University, National University of Defense Technology, Jiangsu University and so on, more than 2,000 college students (undergraduates) gathered to participate in the competition, after a period of three months of preliminary selection, written evaluation, revision review, final defense and other competitive aspects of the fierce competition. A total of 40 first prizes, 62 second prizes, 81 third prizes and 113 winning prizes were selected. The 3 teams entering the finals of our school all achieved excellent results, winning 2 second prizes and 1 third prize.

The information security major is the national first-class professional construction point and the third information security major that has passed the engineering education professional certification in China. Over the years, the major attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' innovation ability and practical skills. Graduates are well received by employers, and the postgraduate entrance examination rate is more than 30%.
