Article 12 The assessment of Overseas Students Academic Excellence Scholarship comprehensively considers academic performance and scientific research achievements. In the second year, the academic performance of graduate students accounts for 70%, and scientific research achievements account for 30%.  In the third year of postgraduates, the third/ fourth year of Ph.D students, only scientific research achievements are considered for selection.

Article 13 Scientific research achievements

The scoring of scientific research achievements is divided into two parts: academic papers and intellectual property. The total score of scientific research achievements is the sum of the two parts.

1. Scoring of academic papers

(1) The score of academic papers is based on the level of the journal or conference in which the paper is published, as shown in Table 1. When the same paper can be calculated according to two or more rules, the higher score is counted. Special situations that are not listed in Table 1 shall be determined by the assessment committee.

(2) The authors affiliation of the published paper which is used to add the score of the research achievements must be Jiangsu University. The graduate must be the first author, or the supervisor is the first author while the graduate is the second author. Each graduate shall submit an application form and supporting materials for the determination of the score according to the criterion shown in Table 1. The points shall be included in the assessment after confirmation by the supervisor and review by the Assessment Committee.

(3) For journal and conference papers, the formal acceptance notice shall prevail, and the SCI journal shall be list in the SCI source journal published in the preceding academic year (SCI zone is calculated according to the division of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for the current year, and the zone calculation is based on the higher level of the two-tier classification). The CCF recommended international journal and conference list shall be based on the latest version on the CCF official website. The deadline for papers is the end of one month before the award assessment year. The scholarship assessment for the current year is carried out around November each year. The specific date will be notified separately.
